In the lubricating oil used, particles less than 25 microns account for more than 99% of the impurities. Traditional extrusion filtration methods often ignore particles below 25 microns to solve the contradiction between flow rate and accuracy. When using ultrafiltration technology, the lubricating oil passes through the gap between the filter paper layers, due to the irregular Brownian motion of particulate impurities. The ultrafiltration filter element can make the particles adsorb on the surface of the filter paper layer by layer, and the minimum capture particle size is 0.5 μm.
The fuel-saving efficiency of the CM-Energy ultrafiltration equipment in diesel engines was verified through the establishment of scientific process standards and bench tests. Based on fuel-saving performance data obtained from both laboratory bench tests and on-board ship measurements, this study validated the correlation between lubricant quality and energy conservation effectiveness, while further analyzing the relationship between energy-saving outcomes and different engine models.
