Product Description

20m windwings is a patented three-element rigid sail, protected by a global patent, that integrates a combination of steel and composite materials. It automatically adjusts the angle and camber of the sail based on collected signals, producing over 2.5 times the lift compared to traditional single-wing sails, thereby optimizing aerodynamic performance. The product has received the AlP certificate along with design type approval from DNV and BV. Currently, the fuel-saving outcomes of the product on actual ships have been validated by DNV.

The 20m windwings system incorporates multiple operating modes to accommodate various ship navigation, berthing, and operational conditions, even in storm scenarios. When applied to bulk carriers, it necessitates consideration for hatch cover operations as well as loading and unloading equipment. Consequently, the product can be installed at the cross deck between cargo holds. To address these requirements, the product is designed to rotate into a laydown position, ensuring clearance with hatch covers and loading and unloading machinery.

Currently, bulk carriers outfitted with the product have been operational for over a year, successfully docking and unloading at more than 20 major ports around the globe while demonstrating excellent performance.
