Aiming to coordinate global resources and deliver worldwide service, China Merchants Industry Group officially inaugurated its Global Service Centre in Hong Kong on January 24, 2025. As the operational and management entity of the Centre, CM Energy followed up with the launch of CM International, which serves as the central platform for daily operations and global service delivery.
Following six months of preparation and development, CM Energy has expanded its international presence beyond its existing entities in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, the United Kingdom, and Singapore, by establishing two new branches in the United Arab Emirates and the Netherlands. These strategically located entities now anchor eight Regional Service Hubs, each equipped with multidisciplinary service engineers, warehouses, and workshops to provide prompt and localized support.
To further enhance regional coverage, the Hubs have extended their reach by collaborating with highly qualified local partners to build a robust execution network — the Regional Service Stations. To date, more than 35 Service Stations across 22 countries and regions have been established, covering major maritime and energy hubs, including key shipping ports and leading oil and gas producing nations.
In a move to strengthen customer connectivity and improve operational efficiency, CM Energy has also launched a dedicated Global Service Centre portal on its official website (https://www.cm-energy.com/global-service-centre). The portal enables 24/7 customer engagement and inquiry response, coordinated through the Centre’s global operational framework.
Functioning as a strategic bridge, the Global Service Centre links the full value chain of China Merchants Industry Group. On one side, it connects the Group’s shipyards and CM Energy’s product centres; on the other, it leverages the three-tier structure — Operational Centre, Regional Service Hubs, and Regional Service Stations — to deliver comprehensive life cycle support to global customers anytime, anywhere.
The Centre’s services include:
Equipment surveys, audits, inspections, and health checks
Engineering, repairs, overhauls, modifications, and refurbishments
Spare parts supply and logistics
Crew training and technical/operational support
Looking ahead, with the successful delivery of several renewable and green energy related projects, the Global Service Centre will further integrate its service capabilities across offshore and marine, oil and gas, and renewable energy sectors. This expansion will support the Company’s ongoing contribution to the global energy transition and underscores its commitment to sustainable, customer-centric operations worldwide.
